We are currently doing playtesting and gathering feedback from other players. These are the changes we are planning/considering implementing:
- Updating the word list so that words are not overly "government-y"
- Added open drafting to give the game more strategy and less luck
- Added a last-played card mechanic to incentivize players to continue from the last played card, increasing focus on the game and building a more cohesive story. Players can still use a wild card or card with matching color in order to change the story and not lose out in any point gain. This I think will also help with the cognitive overload of having so many options to pick from as the board gets larger
- Score requirements for finishing the game moves up to 25 points; 15 points is far too fast to achieve while playing and the story ends too soon with newer mechanics added that allow for more points
- Added background that helps connect the mechanics to the theme of the game
- Cards will have words on both sides so players on each side of the table can read the words
